Leadership Development Programs

Prepare leaders for what comes next.

Performance Insight designs highly customized leadership development programs that prepare leaders for broader responsibility, strengthen effectiveness at every level, and build the capabilities needed to lead strategic initiatives. Development is connected to real work and designed for application, reflection, reinforcement, and lasting growth.

From Insight to Impact

Leadership growth takes hold through practice, real-work experiments, reflection, and sustained reinforcement.

Participation Models

Three ways to build leadership capability.

Each model can stand on its own or complement the others as leadership priorities evolve.

Organization-Wide Leadership Programs

Create a shared approach to leadership across the organization.

Designed for people leaders across roles, levels, or locations, these programs build common leadership expectations, language, and practical skills without requiring participants to move through an intact cohort. A customized curriculum can be delivered as a coordinated workshop series with multiple scheduling options.

Programs may include

  • A customized curriculum aligned with organizational priorities
  • Live, practical workshops delivered in person, virtually, or through a blended format
  • Immediately applicable tools and real-work leadership experiments
  • Reflection, peer learning, and reinforcement between sessions
  • Resources that help managers continue development on the job

Targeted Leadership Workshops

Build a critical leadership capability when the need is immediate and specific.

Targeted workshops address a clearly defined leadership need through focused, highly practical development. Each session is customized to the audience and business context, built around active participation and practice, and connected to application after the session—not simply content delivery.

Workshops can stand alone, support a leadership retreat or offsite, or complement a broader initiative. Focus areas may include active listening, coaching and feedback, delegation, conflict management, psychological safety, and employee engagement.

A typical engagement may include

  • Sponsor discovery and customized content
  • Interactive exercises, practice, and behavioral feedback
  • A real-work leadership experiment or action commitment
  • Follow-up reflection, peer accountability, or manager reinforcement

Leadership Development in Practice

Different models.
One standard: impact.

Organization-Wide Programs · Manufacturing

Creating a Shared Leadership Approach

A multi-site organization wanted people leaders across levels to share common expectations and practical approaches to leading and developing employees. Performance Insight created a live, virtual Leadership Essentials series with multiple dates that made development broadly accessible without requiring a fixed cohort.

Now in its fourth year, the program has expanded from two workshops to six. Leadership development is part of leaders’ annual objectives, participant feedback remains consistently positive, and managers report greater application on the job.

Turning a Culture Priority into Leadership Practice

Stronger communication and follow-through had become essential for an operations group increasingly reliant on cross-organizational collaboration. Performance Insight designed an interactive active-listening workshop for more than 30 leaders using a listening lab, triad practice, behavioral feedback, and peer coaching.

Participants highlighted the practical detail, interactivity, structure, and flow. Each leader left with a real-work experiment and an accountability-partner conversation to continue applying the learning.

Direct Senior-Practitioner Partnership

Work directly with Dr. Steve Morgan.

Steve partners with the sponsor from discovery and program design through facilitation, real-work application, reinforcement, and evaluation. He learns the business and the people behind the development need, then adapts the work as priorities evolve.

Development Connected to Real Work

Practice where it counts.

Participants work on current leadership challenges, test new approaches, reflect on the results, and bring that learning back to their roles. Peer learning and manager involvement can help sustain the changes between sessions.

The Right Model for the Need

Designed around your leaders and priorities.

A selected cohort, an organization-wide program, and a targeted workshop serve different purposes. Performance Insight shapes the audience, curriculum, practice, and reinforcement around the capability the organization needs to build. Assessment and individual coaching can be included where they deepen insight and application.

A Process Built Around Leadership Growth

A clear path from insight to application.

The scope varies by program, but the work stays connected to what leaders need to do differently. These disciplines guide the design, delivery, and reinforcement.

Understand the leadership need

Learn the business context, audience, leadership expectations, and outcomes the sponsor wants to see.

Design and practice

Build relevant workshops and coaching around practical skills, dialogue, feedback, and current leadership challenges.

Experiment and reflect

Help leaders test new behaviors in real work, learn from results, and refine their approach with peers, managers, or a coach.

Reinforce and assess progress

Use follow-up conversations and sponsor or manager observations to sustain application and recognize meaningful change.

Leadership Development Should Change the Work

What leaders do differently matters most.

The measure of leadership development is not what participants know at the end of a session. It is what they do differently afterward.

  • A stronger leadership pipeline and greater readiness for succession or broader roles

  • More consistent leadership expectations and practices

  • More effective coaching, delegation, feedback, and accountability

  • Stronger cross-functional relationships and enterprise perspective

  • Greater capacity to lead strategic initiatives and strengthen employee engagement
